In the report, the reporter analyzed the music in Latin America as one of the music that has hybridity in it. For me, musics in Latin American does not really necessary shows hybridity since it doesn’t show new breed just by mixing one music from another music. Though Latin America has similar point of view in Africa’s music but it doesn’t necessary means that because two different cultures are somewhat related with each other, they already form a new music or genre. It is clearly stated in the report that it doesn’t really show new music but it just have
a similar message which is slavery. In the music La la la by Sharika, if I would view the music video in it, I would really agree to the analysis of the reporter that there is a catalysis due to the different ethnic groups that were involved. In the music video, it clearly shows that different ethnic group joined together to be united whatever the situation they may be facing.
