Laura Francatelli's Life On The Titanic

Laura Francatelli sailed on the titanic. She survived the sinking and was in first class. She was born in London. She boarded the Titanic at Belfast, Ireland. She was born in 1881, and died June 2nd, 1967. She was 30 when she sailed on the titanic. She boarded lifeboat #1. On the titanic she was in room E-36. She says that was the bottom deck for ‘Saloon Passengers’. While she was down there she was writing a letter to someone, and she writes, “I was just going to bed. Madame & Sir Cosmo were upon A deck the top, and I on E, the bottom deck for Saloon Passengers when I felt a shudder, then two gentlemen came up and told me that we had run into an iceberg, but were quite safe. “ (Quote From: www.williammurdoch.net)She said that she stood there for 20 minutes after they hit. She said that the water was on the floor of her deck by then, so it filled up really quickly.
Laura got on the lifeboat after seeing the water fill up the deck.
After they were lowered to the water, they rowed 200 yards away. They man who helped said them out shot himself after. She says that there was several explosions in the dark, and that it was terrible to watch the titanic sink. She survived the sinking of the titanic but, she sadly died June 2,
1967.
