Lava Monster Observation
When I was little I didn’t play many games. I always remember this one game. This game was called LAVA MONSTER. It was, by far, the funnest game on the playground. I played this game from fourth grade through fifth grade. The person who was it, the lava monster, would count to ten. After the counting, the lava monster will call a color. Once the lava monster calls out the color they can only walk on this color. The lava monster tries to tag another player. If the lava monster sees anyone walking on the ground, and not the playground they can yell lava monster and that person is the new lava monster. It was just like an over complicated game of tag. We would run, and the yard duties would yell at us, but we still ran. Another game I used

In order to maintain an aura of mystique, a monster usually would not expose its entire physical body in the beginning of a sci-fi creature movie; however, the director Bong Joon-ho subverts the genre convention and “reworks genre convention using them as a framework for exploring and critiquing South Korean social and political issues” (Klein). The story of the film The Host mainly depicts how members of a dysfunctional family use their own ways to rescue the missing daughter, who has been captured by a creature emerging from the Han River in Seoul. The background setting is just like the convention of Hollywood movies. But ironically, all of extrinsic factors involving government and normal citizens…

The first game my group played was called Long Story Short. It was a game that consisted of five players, each with white boards and dry erase markers. The object of the game was to finish the story that the selected judge had read to us. We had to complete the story using either a text message, tweet, comic strip, or a headline. Based upon whatever number the judge rolled on the dice. This game gives off a fun party like atmosphere, and is a great game to play with friends. It did not allow me…

A possessive adjective is a word that describes a noun and tells you who owns that noun. Possessive adjectives change to identify who the person is representing. In English (my, your, his/her/its) would be examples of singular forms of first person, second person, and third person. As our, yours, and theirs would be the plural possessors. In Spanish you also change the word between first, second, third person, plural, and singular. But in addition the word must agree with gender and number. Stressors on Spanish possessive adjectives show importance as well, as they must be placed after the noun they have modified.…

Man has conquered many parts of nature, but not all of nature. We have not ever been able to control, fire (such as lava), or water (such as tsunami), or the earth (such as earthquakes), and there are many more that I have not named. The story “ Mountain of Fire” shows that, through a day of fire and destruction. If something hasn’t happened in a long, long time we tend to forget it can happen or will happen. That is what happened to the people that were around Mount St. Helens. I mean they even called it a Mountain because it has been so long scene the Volcano erupted that they forgot it was even a volcano.…

On March 10, 2011, I attended a campus wide experience that was showing a volcano documentary by Maurice and Katia Krafft. They were born and raised in France and would like to retire in Hawaii. They are writers, movie makers, and scientists. In 1988, they circled the globe 8 times to study the many volcanoes of the earth. They love to photograph the many shield volcanoes in Hawaii because they are constantly erupting. To them, their perfect paradise is described as a lava lake not a paradise with crystal clear waters and sunny skies. They were attracted to fire since Maurice was 8 and Katia was 14. They transformed their passion to a way of life.…
