Good economy - When the economy is good, many youths will not see the reason as why they will seek law enforcement work and thus abscond from the recruitment process completely rather than going to try their lack. The society has labeled the law enforcement work to be bad therefore making children growing up in such a set up will develop a negative perspective (notion) about the law enforcement. When they finish their schooling, they will not want to be associated with the law enforcement work at all.
Factors relating to education, drug use, criminal history, and physical fitness among youth have contributed to the decrease in the size of the applicant pool. This makes those potential applicants to be unfit in the law enforcement.
