The strategy and plan that I have for practicing spiritual disciplines and personal growth is to make personal notes for myself as a reminder regarding my everyday schedule. One of the greatest observations that I practice is morning devotion, which is spending time with God. This is the time dedicated to God alone and where it has become a daily ritual for me to spend time in prayer and supplication. This is also the time where I spend in worship and throughout the course of the day, if I don’t get distracted. So, making written and mental notes would be one of the strategies I have for this approach to practicing spiritual disciplines and personal growth development.
Another strategy that I have
for practicing spiritual disciplines and personal growth is aside from reading the word, in which some evenings I’m tired after a long day. My strategy is to listen to the word through my headphones while I’m working out, that way I’m training my spirit to hear the word of God whenever I miss reading in the morning devotion, and, allowing it to play continuously in my hearing as I sleep, so it get into my spirit as well. Another strategy that I have for practicing spiritual discipline and personal growth is applying fasting to my weekly regimen, which is to take one day out of the week and stick to that specific day for fasting. Walking in this principle and discipline will bring and provide much needed strength and development in my walk with God and to bring my flesh under submission to the law of God. My plan and goal is to practice these disciplines daily, and having my spouse and children hold me accountable for these practices.
