I realize regardless of my various learning styles illustrated in the Try It online section of the active LearnSmart activity reading (which by the way was EXTREMELY invaluable in learning and evaluating my Learning Styles, Self-Concept and the entire POWER process of creating and drafting my Personal Mission Statement), I was extremely driven by my fear of failure of understanding and performing at my optimal best in this activity. I was unnerved by the fear of the unknown when I clicked the LearnSmart activity assignment today, I rationalized, “Well at least I’ve already read the chapter a few times, this should be a breeze, I’m ready.” I even went back to my Reports section to see how I was evaluated and what improvements …show more content…
I created an additional Word document using the text book (LearnSmart) objectives and excises in the book to more fully engage in my own thoughts, perceptions, and goals. I learned that these resources were incredibly invaluable and this chapter has helped to redirect my life purpose and set concrete short term and long term goals.
