Lego Inaccuracies
There are a lot of documentaries out there today that discuss some important achievements, events, people, or even disasters that have occurred in history throughout the world, but I would have never thought that there would be one that talked about one of my favorite childhood toys, LEGOs. The documentary started off giving a brief history of LEGOs and what exactly they were, but then showed how it was more than just a couple of bricks. I liked this because it showed that LEGOs have been apart of the world’s history and it even continues to help us advance our civilizations and our knowledge of the universe by influencing them to build and create new things. I think that this documentary is one of the best documentaries that I have seen. I …show more content…

They have met several people and talked to them about LEGOs and what they thought of it and what they had used it for. With all of this information that was given to me from there research is incredible and because of this I believe that the documentary is a credible source. Ever since I got my very first LEGO set I fell in love with them. I would be able to build and create anything that I could put my mind to, and that is what I saw in the film. This film showed how much LEGO has impacted hundreds of lives, which is why this is my pathos. The only thing that I did not like about the movie, which falls into my logos, was how the film was organized. It’s not a big deal, but the way the film started was in space but then went away from it and came back to it at the very end of the movie. I forgot about it until the film mentioned it again at the end. I think they should have put the intro near the end. When I heard that the next film was going to be about LEGOs I was interested in what it would turn out to be even if I did not know if it would be good or bad. I believe that this documentary is the best and most in depth film that talks about LEGOs ever or the at least the only one that I have seen. I appreciated how the film showed actual LEGO sets and some stop motion LEGO films instead of having someone just say what they were. It is always good to have some visual

Before watching the documentary I didn’t know much about the Koch brothers and how much a couple individuals can impact the rest of us within the United States in such a tremendous way. They are rich people that want to make sure that they are as happy as possible. Not worrying or caring about any other individual, but themselves and their own beliefs. So the Koch brothers will do anything and everything that they are capable of doing to make sure that what they want is the outcome of what we get. This movie gave me a different perspective on those with money and how they’re willing to affect everyone else for their own personal beliefs and profit. The documentary had many strengths from how they adjusted from idea to idea showing all the impacts of each belief the Koch brothers have and all the different impact their beliefs have on us due to the amount of money they process. The film, overall, made me pretty angry that someone with as much money as the Koch brothers have, would care so little about the rest of the population. Polluting other people’s neighborhoods, killing other people’s families, ruining cities, and numerous other aspects of life that have been destroyed by the Koch brothers are all characteristic that affect a tremendous amount of people. It proved to me how false someone could be about what is being said and exactly what they mean by what they are saying. After watching this documentary it forced me to feel like I need to get more involved and speak my beliefs more so the near future is not ran by bias opinions towards a group of people especially the working…

When thinking of “The Lego Movie” it’s easy to dismiss it as another movie made to entertain the minds of 4 to 11 year olds. A movie created just for parents to get one solid hour of peace from their kids but it’s surprisingly the opposite. The movie surprises its viewers with cleverly written jokes, action packed scenes, and heartwarming characters.…

I found the documentary very compelling when they spoke about the differences between the ways that juveniles and adults are treated in the court system. For example, juveniles are sentenced their punishment is based on what is best for them, whereas adults are sentenced based on what is best for the community. Even though this is not always the case for juvenile offenders, as some are tried as adults, it is very interesting how the court…

I liked how Greg was talking to the audience. Normally, movies are like watching someone else’s life. In this movie, Greg was talking the audience through his life, as if they were there. I also enjoyed how the movie was shown as a documentary, but not about history. The movie was separated into “parts,” based on the way Greg viewed his life experiences. This is an excellent aspect of the film because it was entertaining to see how Greg viewed things in his eyes, rather than watch a movie about somebody’s life.…

I am someone that really likes statistics as evidence; and this film really put that into play. There were so many and they all tied in nicely. Here are some of the ones I found to be most interesting; It takes 2,500 gallons of water to produce 1lb of meat, an acre of forest is lost every second, and for every 1lb of fish caught there is 5 lbs of by-kill caught. All of these stats are staggering. I have to admit some of the stats I felt were biased, and I couldn't bring myself to have full faith in them.…

Overall, I thought the documentary was very informational and entertaining. It gave me a good look at how apes and humans are so closely related, and after watching it, I realized we are not so different at all. I enjoyed watching this and observing the ways in which they gathered food, went swimming, and interacted with each other; and doing so in similar ways as we humans would do. I’m glad I got a chance to watch this movie, and am glad that I picked this specific one because it gave me a totally new insight on these animals and makes me appreciate them more now, now that I know they are more like humans that I originally…

Before starting the documentary, I read the paragraph about what it was going to be about to prepare myself for what was to come. The beginning started and it had a very sad tone, which instantly made me upset. Individuals were talking about how they were doing and what life was like. I knew this wasn’t going to be an upbeat documentary, but it really does make you think when your watching and genuinely upsets me. It instantly reminded me of when I observed an Occupational Therapist in the school setting. She worked with some children who had autism, and listening to these individuals in the video and thinking about my personal experience it helped me to really empathize and understand more what they are going through. My heart ached more as the video went on.…
