This is due to thousands, if not millions, of people that work in mines worldwide. “What is less understood or realised is that the most significant resource of any business is the people it employs” . This is because if there are no workers, there will not be any work undertaken, no matter how sophisticated the machines may be.
“It is therefore of greater significance than ever to keep the good staff and to continue to attract the best recruits as possible.” This can only be achieved if the workers are well motivated. It gave me the solid foundation of the motivation theory. I also used the information of the company which I basically got from the internet, specifically on the company’s website (www.Letsengdiamonds.com).
I also used local newspapers and trade journals which wrote a number of articles about Lets’eng Diamonds Mine. They were basically talking about some complains of the workers in the company and some previous cases that affected the reputation of the company, just because of the worker’s limited motivation.
There is also a bit of primary research to enhance my findings and the power of my argument. I issued the questionnaire to the Human resource manager and 50 employees as I thought they will give a reliable data as it would be coming from the horse’s own mouth.
