This symbolism is used to shape a contrasted perspective of Australian culture that isn’t normally depicted in iconic Australian Poems. The idea of the rare ‘rainbow’ shows that there is more to Australia than strong, free, bush rangers or the beautiful bush. The author doesn’t show the crying as a weakness or rarity, just admiration for a person who freely cries. Which is why the poem is named, ‘An Absolutely Ordinary Rainbow’ the author insists that this is a normality. Showing that the Australian voice is much more 3 dimensional, for the man to be able to weep with dignity and faith, whilst also bearing himself bare to the public.…

I believe the author of the first essay, Dinner Party Table Settings; chose the informative process because the author wanted to give step-by-step instructions on how one hosts a dinner party. This is useful because it teaches the reader in precise steps. The author could have used a space order organization method, which would have provided a more learning experience. When it came to the third essay Cochlear Implants; the author organizes the essay by topic. The author first starts off by explaining what…

When Alfie Kohn wrote his paper What Does It Mean to Be Well-Educated? he tried to focus on everyone's point of view. He wrote about how there are many different types of people who are able to hold a job with maybe just one degree against the other who may be unemployed but have multiple degrees. Why would having more initials at the end of your name guarantee your success in life? Why would his ex wife had endured 29 years of hard schooling just to end up using only one of her many degrees? There are many reasons one person may obtain multiple degrees such as a decline in the amount of people available in a position or even the necessity of that job field at all. I am in the middle of obtaining my very first degree from Liberty University and I could never imagine attending school for a total of 29 years. Everyday in my field I am learning new ways to manage my work more efficiently and control the outcome of my work. In any workplace an education is something that is held high on a pedestal simply because it means you have been to school longer but in some cases that does not mean you have a great education.…

If you could decide what to study, what would you choose between an international study program and English program? Nowadays as a developing Thailand, English is still needed to be more frequently used due to the establishment of AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in 2015. It does not mean that Thai educational system is lack of teaching this universal language to students in all levels of education. These two programs are popular choices of studying for students and their parents’ determination. Nevertheless, the international study program and English program are dissimilar and have differences in curriculums, tuition fees and purposes in teaching which are needed to be considered before making a decision. At one point, the international study program provides courses of study to students which are not based on Thai Ministry of Education that has established, but those course are those outside Thailand of which depend on what country they are based from. On the other hand, the English program studying courses are based on the establishment of the Ministry, but all are taught in English instead of Thai. Another topic of the discussion is a tuition fee for courses of both programs in each semester, which is vastly different. For the international study program, the fee is much higher than the English program. Unfortunately, students who cannot afford it would not get opportunities to study in the program. The English program costs lower than the international study program, but the fee is still in the medium range. The last important issue in this discussion is the purposes in teaching students between two programs. While the English program focuses on academic knowledge more like most Thai academic institutes, the international study program would focus on English skills, such as communication, speaking and writing, and global societies in the view of western countries. In short, both…

According to Tod Caldwell a student of Florida State University College of Arts and Science has a research about the “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Studies of Field Effects on Single Crystal Smb6 conclude that The low temperature anomaly of SmB6 appears to be an intrinsic characteristic of the system both from the NMR data and previous bulk measurements. Recent models have made use of excitonic states but have emphasized either the charge or spin characteristic of the gap. According to Kasuya the charge and spin gap are one in the same since the correlation effects are between 4f moment and the 5d hole to form a bound state. Rise borough completes the model to give quantitative relationship to these correlated systems and to show that it is a virtual exchange rather than one mediated by a charge carrier. According to the measurements conducted at the NHMFL the in-gap states are affected by an applied field. The correlation effects, or in-gap state, seem to be moving up in energy scale as the field is increased. This would be expected for…
