I was titled Incandescent Electric Lighting: A Practical Description of the Edison System. The title gives up the purpose of the book. In the book Latimer explained how the incandescent light bulb worked, more about how it produced light.But with all these talents this book wasn’t the only thing that Latimer had written, for Latimer was also a poetry artist, also know for words of wisdom. February 11 Latimer was named a charter member of Edison's Pioneers. Out of the 28 members Latimer was the only African American. Lewis Latimer worked in a patent consultant firm he was then fired during 1922. Because of old age and messy eyesight Latimer was the reason Latimer was fired from the firm.
