Sophomore English Research Paper Imagine if you were to be judged for who you were, or what you did, or even your gender type. In the world there are a lot of social injustices going on even to this very day. One of the most common and heard of social injustice would probably be the one of people being lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender. This issue has been going on for quite a long time now. Some people do not agree with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender projects. A lot of people suffer because of this injustice, and it also affects their whole lives. A lot of the people that go through this most likely end up fighting back for what they believe is right, which in their case would be to be accepted by others instead of being judged for their sexual orientation and gender identities. All that the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people are doing is fighting for social equality. They should be able to live in a world where they will not be judged and where they are safe and accepted by everyone. Many people have been discriminated based on sexual orientation and gender identity, but the people who discriminate never realize how the victims are affected or if there are any possible solutions to fix this issue.
There are many things that cause these problems to begin and end up getting bigger and bigger. One of these causes is peoples/ societies/ parents thoughts and judgments about the victims. Some people do not accept LGBT people because they are not like them, they are different. “Americans still face extreme forms of prejudice in many areas of life and struggle for the most basic civil rights,”(LGBT Rights, 1). Society does not want to accept change. They see people like this as a bad influence for their children in the future.
