Assignment Title: To what extent are lifestyle choices the most important factor influencing life expectancy in developed countries?

ALife expectancy can be defined as an arithmetical average annual number that an individual is expected to live. Nowadays, due to the rapidly development of science technology and the progress of medical treatment and public health, the life expectancy of human beings has been gradually lengthened since the early twentieth century.(Weigand,M.,2008:238). Meanwhile, people may be willing to pay more and more attention to improve their life longevity in developed country. This essay will examine four factors including lifestyle choice that influence the life expectancy to argue that although there are other factors exist, lifestyle choice probably plays the most significant role in affecting the expectation of life length. The four aspects that impact the lifetime this essay will talk about are living environment, genetic genes, mental state and lifestyle choices. This essay will discuss how these factors influence the life expectancy to testify lifestyle choices is the most important factor, afterwards some feasible suggestions to improve life expectancy will be provided in conclusion part.
Generally, there are three factors that reasonably affect the life expectancy. Firstly, the living environment has a noticeable influence on life time. Two of the most directly elements of environment that have negative effect on human are air pollution and the noise caused by traffic which are common in developed country. The air pollution may associate with increasing risks of heart attacks while the noise might lead to sleep trouble. (Istamto et al, 2014).
