Life Of Narcissism
An overwhelming research has been done in other to determine several correlation between a healthy life, and the life of a narcissism. Through this study several conclusions has been brought about the American culture, and being a narcissism is the same as having a self-admiration.
Times have change especially the love of oneself has dramatically increased to more than 80% compared from 1960s to the earlier 2000s. Even babies at a young age develop a sense of high self-esteem based on one’s reaction to what they do. The idea of self-admiration has blinded American culture, and the need to boast about one’s accomplishment has been increased (pp. 13-17).

The need to feel attractive and wanting to get the attention of as much people as possible resides its self. Study showed an increase in men’s beauty product to 50% over the last five years. The constant need for a person to be attractive despite their age leads them to through with several cosmetic surgery, so they can feel good about themselves (pp. 141-159).
Narcissists love to give remarks about their accomplishment and love everyone to take notice to them too. Study showed that the idea of having a good paying job has increase from 1976 which was at 16%, to 26% in 2006. Along as in the life of newly college student in 1967 there was a 45% who would agree the same however in 2006 there was a dramatic increase to 75%. As the years has gone by giving a baby a common name has dramatically decrease, for the more unique and special your child’s name was the more likely they were going to end up being special. One of the treatment could be instead of telling a person’s child that they are special, they could be a different way to tell raise the child’s confident. However not at the expense of having the child feel as though they are the chosen one (180-194).

After reading the Narcissism Epidemic at first my first intuition was to conduct a self-diagnosis in other to determine whether I was in fact narcissist. Upon my newly founded discovery of the history of America economy, this actually opened my mind and helped me clarify some issues that I have been uncertain about.
