After reviewing the seven domains, I believe I need to change my physical activity and need to focus more on exercise. I would like to change it because I love playing sports and therefore to compete with the best I need to stay healthy, fit and keep my body strong. Since, I’m in college, this would be the best time for me to exercise and keep myself fit for future.
2. What is your rationale for choosing this as your priority stressor at this time in your life? At what “stage of change” are you in regards to this stressor? How will this affect your outcome?
The rationale behind choosing this stressor at this time in my life is that I believe because I’m a college student I’m at that point in time in my life that I’ve time and energy on my side. If I manage to accomplish my goal, I’ll be living a healthier lifestyle in the future. My plan is to do exercises thrice a week and do 7 activities (exercises) each day. Each activity could take a couple of minutes. The exercises I’ll be doing is sit ups, side boards, front boards, crunches, leg lifts, pelvic tilts and practice ball pelvic tilts. Also, I’ll be going for a jog every Saturday and Sunday evenings in the summer as the weather will be better.
I’m at the preparation stage in regards to my stressor. It will affect me in various ways, exercise usually diverts me from the tensions and problems of life and keeps me calm and cool. I’m prone to breaking out when I’m under a lot of stress, as well as experiencing fatigue all the time. Once it reaches a certain point, I take a day off of school, or do something fun with my friends. Taking care of my mental wellness is as important to me, if not more so, as my physical well…
