Seminar's Reflection
Last twenty-first of September, Two Thousand and Thirteen. Held at he Audio Visual Room in Cotabato City Institute, we had an entertaining seminar held by: Mr. Reynaldo S. Atienza Jr., a training manager in RSA automation and robotics. Mr Reynaldo is a person full of joy. I noticed this by the way he talks. The seminar was started by letting us watch some funny and entertaining videos to make us energized, because he noticed that we, the 4th year and the 3rd year, are slightly sleepy. He first illustrated us a robot and asked: “What is your first impre -ssion if you think of a robot?”, almost all of us answered the same answer, which is a robot from the movie “Transformers” named “Megatron”, then he showed us what a robot looks like in real life. He showed is some pictures. Robots in real life are just arms or half body humanoids. He showed us how they work and entertained us by showing a video of dancing robots. The next topic was about nanobots. Nanobots are also like regular robots, but these robots are tiny. Nanobots are used by medical surgeons to see what the patients internal organs look like. He also told us about what a nanobot uses for power, he said it was our very own sperm cell. Mr. Atienza told puns about this one. The next topic was about charging batteries. He asked:”What if you are stuck in the woods with a cellphone with low battery?” He showed us the future of charging batteries. Charging batteries in the future is quite funny, because we need to put a charger in a girl or woman's boobs.
