That night, he announced that the family would be heading to the untamed West, at that time occupied by the Indians who were known to be violent. The developments and growth of the character name Miles was the person who changed through the story. Miles Halter a 16 year old kid who was ready to go to a boarding school was an anti-social person. As it stated in the story “the only thing worse than having a party that no one attends is having a party attended only by two vastly, deeply uninteresting people.”(John Green, Pg:4). This quote proves how he really didn’t have basically any friends. Miles shows in this quote how he was independent at school and really wasn’t interested in making friends. The two people that showed up really weren’t Miles friends since he said they were “deeply uninteresting people”, he just considered them as classmates. Miles shows how he starts off as being an isolated individual and really not in a hurry in making friends. The passage also represents how he wasn’t really disappointed in the fact that he didn’t have any friends. Basically he didn’t have anyone to rely on just his parents and himself. As I read through the story another quote that show how he started…
