The story of Mr. Zamperini’s courage begins in a small town in Southern California ,: Torrance. There he grew up your word? scavenging the town for any trouble he could get himself into. He would live the rest of his ninety-seven years being a firm believer in the Catholic faith. In late 2013, Angelina Jolie would approach him about the idea of the film ‘Unbroken’ [the story of his life]. On November 17, 2014 the film, starring Jack O'Connell as Louie, would be released. Unbroken would net $163,442,000 , becoming an incredible worldwide sensation. However Louie Zamperini would not live to see how his story changed the world , as he was killed by pneumonia several months earlier on July 2nd. It was later revealed by director Angelina Jolie that Louis was able to see an early draft of the Unbroken film before his passing.
