Ever since the beginning of time, males and females have been looking for someone to love, someone they van spend their entire life with; and someone to accept them knowing their flaws and trust that they will always be there for them. The popular culture didn’t have such a passion to grasp love until The Renaissance Era, a time period where the search for an understanding of love was at its highest. Many writers wrote about it because they wanted to tell others how their experiences with love went, some whose experiences were unforgettable and others were less fortunate. Unlike Levine, Marlowe promises many things to his love if she only gave it a try. Here, “She Will Be Loved” and The Passionate Shepherd to His Love, both give the concept that they care enough to do whatever it takes to please their love, will be considered as they both offer interesting similarities, along with unique differences. In the first verse of “She Will Be Loved”, Levine writes “…He was always there to help her,/ She always belonged to someone else…” Adam is in the friend zone; a point in their friendship where Adam likes Kelly, but she loves being friends with him and doesn’t want anything to happen or effect their friendship. Adam is always there for her, constantly showing support for her. All he wanted was for her to return his affection that he showed towards her. Further in the verse he writes “…I’ve had you so many times,/ But somehow I want more…” Kesha once said in her song
