Love Story for My Mom
My Mom The people that get to know us best, from our virtues to flaws, are our

parents. They have the greatest influence in our life because they are the

people we see the most and have known for longest. They sacrifice many

luxuries in order to give their children the best life possible.

My mother has had a huge impact on my life and it is because of her

that I am the person I am today and today where I am . Most people say

I am a lot like mother, both physically and mentally. We both have the same

mannerism, facial expressions , and thought processes. We love to learn and

and travel , eat exotic and luxuries food , spend time with family, and we

both have an incredible urge for knowledge. From observing my mother’s

behavior and listening to her lectures, she has had a great influence on my

life , choices , personality. My mother helped me to make one of the most

important decision which is to choose between living to the United States by

myself and living in Cambodia with my family. This decision was hard for

me to make , since I was born , raised and had lived my whole life in

Cambodia and did not want to leave for several reasons, school, my friends

and memories. One day she sat down with me and told me how important

it is to have trust in myself with everything that I do , not to be afraid of

making wrong choice or decisions. She said no matter which way I will

choose , she will always be there for me. I started crying and hugged. she

gave me the choices of living to United States ; no mother would ever give

that opportunity to her own son by knowing that she might not see her son

for a long time. She gave me the choices to make, but I decided to leave.

Just because of her ideas, continue learning from her, and hopefully

someday being like her. This drive my life being independent and know how to face to the future. After, I have been living in United

    My American Dream Essay

It was only my mother, my little brother, and me. We did not know the language or the culture, and it was really difficult for us to accommodate to our new life. When I started school I saw many differences in the educational methods, as well as in the life style. By the time I was on high school I had grown bigger aspirations for my life, now I wanted to be the first person on my family to go to college. As of now I have completed my first goal of entering college. It has been a long ride since the day I first got to America, but since then the culture does not stop surprising me. I learn new things everyday like how people accomplish their dreams by working hard, or how people from everywhere come here following their own paths. Those accomplishments were not possible in my country of origin, and if I had not emigrated, I can not imagine what my future or even my present would be in Cuba. I have many things to thank America, but the most important one is that the culture has helped me to mold the person I am today, and thanks to the opportunities that this country gives to it’s residents I am now helping make my future, and my family’s, brighter and better.…
