of the writer's argument using various sources to state their position and how is it credible.
Lisa Miller writer of "Divided We Eat" is an environmentalist who works to promote healthy eating in low-income communities to decrease health issues such as obesity from fast foods and genetically modified foods from being sold at local markets. Also, Miller, is a Psychologist that observes the behaviour of children in the academic setting and how the environment plays a role in their learning ability. Mainly Miller wants to stop the use of pesticides in the crops and calling for action on this matter.
People of low-class consume foods that are cheaply made, genetic engineered, and sprayed with pesticides which are a hazard to the body.
It is not spring that most people have a health effect resulting from the foods they eat because it is not compatible with the body. In addition, people of low-class states don't have the time to cook home meals which proves to be a lot healthier than eating hot Cheadle's. In Miller reading, she meets a lady name Tiffany that is a single mother with two kids that work an excessive amount of hours on the daily basis. Tiffany hardly cooks because she does not have the time or energy to cook for her children so she buys them because of her work. This reading has more of an emotional approach which makes it pathos because it deals with human dialogue that allow readers to have empathy. For example " A home cooked meal just don’t happen every night”(Divided We Eat,2010).Miller is found to be credible because she interviews various people regarding their eating habits, fanatical statues, and the statues of household. However, she lacks actual statics of people who are low-income families and if there are a two parent household or not. However, she gives people experience of their eating habits such as Tiffany which subjects readers to become more believable of Miller positioned on food security. Generally Miller proves that food insecurity or bad eating more and likely occurs in low-income families or one parent household because of the lack of in every rather in the two parent household work is shared equally. Nevertheless, Miller is optimistic that every household are able to produce proper home cooked meals which, in the long run, prevents healthy risk such as obesity or heart
attacks.
