Loyalty And Responsibility

I feel that loyalty and responsibility best fit the principles of America. Loyalty because you had to be loyal to the government in the age of reason. Responsibility for today because if your not responsible then how would anything work or get done in America.
The guiding principle for the Age of Reason was loyalty. You had to be loyal to the government, which was the church, if not you got hung. Loyalty is what guided the Age of Reason people to pay attention and listen so that they wouldn’t die.
The principle for today would have to be responsibility because if you loose papers and documents then America would be put in a bind. America would be a disaster if the government and its people were not responsible.
