Business Challenges of Lufthansa Lufthansa is an international airline company that can offer flights at a lower cost that its competitors. Lufthansa has many business challenges that they are faced with in business. This report will look at how they operate and how they can become even better. Wolfgang Mayrhuber and the management team will: (a) Describe the type of international strategy the company has chosen; (b) Explain what means the company has used to expand internationally; (c) Identify and describe the elements and objectives of Lufthansa 's cooperative strategy; (d) Describe the uncertainties and challenges related to operating beyond the company 's national boundaries; (e) Describe the potential risks of cooperative strategies; (f) Explain the use of organizational structure and controls to effectively support Lufthansa 's strategy; (g) Describe what strategic leadership actions should be recommended for developing human capital at Lufthansa; (h) Describe what strategic leadership actions should be recommended for establishing an effective organizational culture at Lufthansa; (i) Describe what strategic leadership actions should be recommended for promoting an entrepreneurial mind-set at Lufthansa; (j) Describe what strategic leadership actions should be recommended for reducing complexity at Lufthansa. Lufthansa has many business challenges and opportunities to be even better in their market.
