Throughout my grandfather’s lifetime, he remembers there were many large news events such as World War II, which occurred when he was between the ages of 6 and 12. Neil Armstrong going to the moon also had a lot of news coverage, this happened when he was 30. Another important event was the Cuba embargo, that occurred during his 20s.
The highest honor my grandfather ever received was through Catholic Central High School. He likes spending time with his family. Luke has 16 grandchildren, 6 girls and 10 boys. He recalls being very happy to hear that I was a girl after having three older brothers.
