Case: lululemon athletica

1. What are the personality traits that lululemon is looking of in its customers? Are those the same traits that the company looks for in its employees?

The personality Traits that lululemon is looking for in its customers are:
Those that are:
Health and Fashion conscious
Active
Spiritual
Healthy
Educated
Athletic
Balanced
Cheerful
Fun

Are those the same traits that the company looks for in its employees?
I believe to an extent. I think if employees don’t posses the same attributes as the customers coming in to buy a product it is harder for them to make a connection and a sale. For example, if you go to a fancy store to buy some nice clothing and all the employees there look underdressed, and as if they have no fashion sense, you probably are less likely to take their advise. This will probably result in you not wanting to shop there. Thus, I think that lululemon wants employees to share similar traits of their customers, but also their company values and beliefs. By doing so, they will be able to be “educators” and be “ambassadors” for them and create a connection with customers with more ease. This will allow them to sell better and make customers feel as if they are in right place.

2. Does lululemon have a brand personality?
Yes I think lululemon has a brand personality. I think a lot of its brands personality translates through its products, message, employees and the costumers it attracts. I also think it shares those similarities but also hold traits that make it who it is. For example reliable, the company its known for its well made, functional and quality clothing which is a large part of why customers are willing to play the high cost.

Brand personality:
Fit
Active
Positive
Health and fashion conscious
Motivational
Reliable
Responsible
Inspiring

3. How would you describe the relationship between consumers and the lululemon brand?
I think it is a strong relationship. Similar to apple lululemon has a very

It’s clear that Lululemon is reliant on third-parties for the supply and the manufacturing requirements of its athletic apparel. By association, should these companies engage in unethical business practices or skimp on quality guidelines, these acts will reflect poorly on the Lululemon brand (Vallester, Lindgreen, & Maon, 2012). The use of foreign labour and manufacturing resources among multinational enterprises can become complicated, where firms that violate principles of corporate social responsibility experience backlash from consumers often (Nam et al., 2017). These issues are manageable for numerous multinational establishments; however, this is not the circumstance for Lululemon as it has few supplier replacements…
