Lysander's Song 'Rude By Magic'

The song Rude by Magic can be played at Act 1, Scene 1. This is in Lysander’s perspective, as he wishes to be with Hermia, but Egeus disapproves of it. This is shown in the song when he sings, “Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life? Say yes, say yes 'cause I need to know. You say I'll never get your blessing 'til the day I die, tough luck, my friend, but the answer is no”. Both Lysander, from the play and Magic, from the song, were rejected by their lover’s father. Later in the scene, despite the father’s disapproval, Hermia and Lysander decide to sneak away into the woods in order for them to be together. This can be seen in the song with the lines, “I’m gonna marry her anyway” and “You know she's in love with me. She will go anywhere
