It was in 1965 when three main band members meet. They had great hits great fans, but the times of glory were over they were traveling to a concert, but something went terribly wrong. After a while, new members of country bands were starting to join when Gary Rossington wanted to bring the band back together. Lynyrd Skynyrd has been on and off, they have been great in the beginning. But the fame came to an end and the band was off for a while until one of the founding members wanted to start it again. It was September 1976, and it wasn’t going so hot for the band, Gary Rossington was hurt in a car accident and they had to cancel a tour and wasn’t going to get any better (Walker, 2008).The band was flying in between shows in Greenville, South Carolina and Baton Rouge, Louisiana when the plane was jostling before it went down in Mississippi and killed Van Zant and his sister(“Lynyrd Skynyrd”, 1983). It was October 1977 and that was the day of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s crash, but it was possible to discover everything about the crash(Stambler, 1989). Scoring such hits as “Saturday Night Special,” “Gimme Three Steps,” and “What’s Your Name?” and making their fifth studio album, Street Survivors in 1977, but the band’s glory was ultimate(Lowe, 2004). The cover of the LP was changed instead of “That Smell” after the accident, but the album went on to be their biggest sellers yet(“Lynyrd Skynyrd”,1983). It was 1991 and Johnny Van Zant wrote a new original material when they returned to the recording studio(Walker, 2008). One of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs “One More from the Road” was a fantastic hit and was an instantly certified platinum, it was what the fans were waiting for(Walker, 2008). The living band reunited in 1987 and Ronnie Van Zant’s younger brother, Johnny Van Zant, lead singer and many other Lynyrd Skynyrd singers were country singers, but finally Lynyrd Skynyrd made it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006(Lowe, 2004). It’s the tenth anniversary of the plane crash in 1977, the band came back for a tribute tour they handle Van Zant’s widow who relinquished use of the band’s name in 1987(Lowe, 2004). The founding members Ronnie Van Zant, Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Leon Wilkeson, Bob Burns, and Billy Powell, but there were some tragedies that took lives, but Gary Rossington, Bob Burns, and Billy Powell(Walker, 2008). Rossington Collins Band was a new band who came from Lynyrd Skynyrd, but there were only three members, including a lead female singer Dale Krantz(“Lynyrd Skynyrd,”1983). When the ceremony started the Sex Pistols didn’t come to it, but the bands who were inducted into the Hall of Fame saturated in glory.(Walker, 2008).
The great band My Backyard before it was named Lynyrd Skynyrd was great it had great songs, but new members came and started something new including making it to the Hall of Fame. My Backyard was great it had good hits, but it didn’t have as many fans as they will. When some old members left some new came in the band got better, but unfortunately, it stopped. The band went down on their way to a concert, after the crash the surviving members split up, but soon
