Pregnancy
During pregnancy your physical growth can be effected by nature. Nature can affect many things on pregnancy as there could be a genetic or chromosomal issue it may lead to deformities and also Down Syndrome. Pregnancy can also be affected by nurture, this is things such as the mother may smoke or drink during pregnancy. This would cause a poor environment for the growing baby inside the mother as it affects the growth rates. During pregnancy before the child is born they will receive their parent’s traits and characteristics, you receive half from the mother and the other half is from the father. Social the mother may talk and bond with the child to make a relationship however she may not result in less of a bond than the father.
Childhood
During the stages of childhood the child is growing dramatically. His/ her genetics and DNA is inherited from the child’s parents. Inheriting features such as natural hair colour and natural eye colour are features, these features are nature. The child may have different features from both parents for example if they have their father’s face shape and their mother’s facial features e.g. nose and eye shape. Nurture in childhood could be if a child is raised in poverty, this will affect the child badly as they may not be gaining the correct nourishment they need in everyday life. If this is the case the child will not grow properly meaning they will be out of proportion. Another childhood problem is they may be being abused while they are being brought up. This doesn’t only affect their skills and appearance it could affect their health depending on how severe the problem is. Nature factors of physical development in childhood are that all children go through a stage where they begin to learn key skills that will be needed in everyday life such as communication skills, visual and written skills.
