Nature and Nurture
Nature is known as the innate ability to develop a certain type of way, it looks at how an individual develops with regards to their biology. Nurture is known as the abilities that an individual develops over time due to different factors that can be emotional, social, intellectual and physically developed over a certain period of time. It can be argued what influences what in regards to these concepts.
Childhood
Childhood Is between the ages of 6-12, they can develop in many different ways but can also be argues by the nature debate on how they were born for example the perception this individual will take situations over time.
Intellectual- A child can develop intellectually with regards to the nature debate. This means that the child will have specific abilities that need to be established. These abilities can include whether the individual is a specific type of learner for example if they learn kinetically, or interacting with others. Communication is nature as it is innate for an individual to speak, this is important as it gives the basic boundaries to communicate. Nurture in this case refers to what type of language has been learnt with the influences and environment they live in. In childhood Piaget explains how children start to go through the pre operational stage where they start thinking logically and start to use the language that they have been learnt independently. Nature and nurture in this debate is equally as important as the child needs that innate ability to speak in order to communicate and learn a language to help reach the individuals full potential. Alfred Binnet looked at how intelligence is innate from the start as the individual has a specific amount of IQ in order to fill.
Social- Social development is important as the child needs to express communication learnt to a wider range of people. Again
