Many characters in Shakespeare’s Macbeth are parallel to Throne of Blood. First of all, both movies include heroes such as Macbeth and Washizu. They had killed to earn a higher title and be honored. Also, Banquo and Miki are strong fellow soldiers of Macbeth and Washizu. They had proven to be great soldiers by standing with their friend until the supernatural had interfered. Last, both Lady Macbeth and Asaji had pushed their husbands to do wrong. Macbeth and Washizu had thought of reasons not to kill their friends for a higher position, yet their wives pushed them into doing so. Therefor Macbeth and Throne of Blood have many similar characters.
Another similarity Macbeth and Throne of Blood have in common with each other is the plot of the movie. First of all, both of them contain the supernatural beings including the 3 witches and the evil spirit. The supernatural beings had predicted the titles of future, present, and past for Macbeth and Washizu. Secondly, both Macbeth and Washizu had committed murders to the king/great lord. To receive a higher title the great lord from Throne of Blood had to of been killed, along with the king from Macbeth. Finally, the ending of both movies the prince returned to defeat protagonist. In the ending of both the towns had surrendered with king/great lords head. Therefor Macbeth and Throne of Blood have a good comparison on the plots.
The final reason Macbeth and Throne of Blood are connected in similarity is there theme. Both of the protagonists should have known right from wrong.
