Macon Means Organization Analysis

The service organization that I observed was the Macon MEANS Organization, (Mentoring, Educating, Advocating and Nutritional Services). Macon MEANS Organization is a community organization that consists of individuals with common goals. The Macon MEANS Organization includes nurses, educators, social workers, counselors, nutritionists, a secretary, cancer survivors and their families and agencies that provide support and assistance to cancer survivors.
The purpose of the group is to provide support to cancer survivors, and help them maintain their quality of life during treatment and when treatment is complete. This support groups can help cancer survivors cope with the emotional aspects of cancer. Being a group member, survivors will learn
