We have chosen Mali has a country it is located in Africa next to Niger and under Argelia. We used many research sites including, Maps, Geography, Culture, and history Etc... We chose this country because it seemed interesting to see the entire unique things abo this country. Mali has different holidays, traditions, and clothing type. We will be listing some features of this country. The Manlike Empire ruled regions of Mali from the 12th to 16th century. Caravan routes have passed through Mali since A.D.300. Morocco conquered Timbuktu in 1591 and ruled over it for two centuries. On January 20 they have an Armed Force Day. Which is as of 2002, armed forces strength was 7, 350, of whom 6900 were in the ground forces, and in the 400 in the air the air forces. May 25 they have an African day. The largest tribe is Bambara, Who occupy many of the civil servant positions. It is the Dogons and the Tuareg who practice a more traditional way of life. Some resources in Mali are gold, phosphates, kaolin, salt, limestone, granite, and etc. There are large mammals including elephants, giraffes, gazelles, and antelope.
