Mammoth Cave Research Paper

Have you ever been to Kentucky with your entire family? Well, I have and it was one of the best experiences of my life. We spent time doing exciting things that I would relive if I could. My family and I went to Mammoth Cave, Diamond Cavern, a Wax Museum, a Fudge Factory, and Holliday World. While I was on the trip, I bonded with my family, and made cherishable memories that I will never forget. When we arrived in Kentucky, we checked into our hotel, then headed straight for Mammoth Cave. Waiting for our tour time was agonizing, so we walked around and looked at the animals and trails that were around the area. When it was finally our time to get our tour, it was packed with people, and you could barely hear the tour guide, because the cave is so big. In my opinion, I didn’t like Mammoth Cave that much, only because it didn’t even seem like a natural cave. There were mats down, so you didn’t have to walk on the actual cave floor, and there was railing to help you walk. Personally, I think it would have been more exciting to walk on the actual cave
The second cave we went to was far more fun than Mammoth Cave. It was called Diamond Cavern, and we got a private tour, just my family and I. There were narrow spaces to fit through, and it was natural, as in there were no mats or railings. It was way more beautiful than Mammoth Cave too, I guess Diamond Cavern gets the name, because it sparkled, and it was a pretty site. There were carvings on the walls with foreign languages that my dad tried to look up on his phone. After the cave, we had a 3 hour drive back to southern Indiana to spend a day at Holiday World. Holiday World was scary at first, because there are water roller coasters and the heights were intense. But, I conquered my fears and rode all of the rides we had time for, and I had a blast.
