In the movie, Man of Steel, Clark Kent (also known as Superman) demonstrates many similarities to that of Jesus Christ. Some of the most noteworthy similarities include: being raised by non-biological parents; Jesus’s father Joseph and Clark’s mother and father, use his powers to help humanity and save lives, much like Jesus was sent to die for us. And finally, neither are human but can be considered a man.
Clark Kent was born on the planet Krypton as Kal-El and sent down to Earth by his real parents to save humanity. He is forced to hide his gifts by his non-biological father until he finally reveals who he really is at the age of 33. He possesses superpowers that no other humans have but also has traits that many other humans have. He chose to live on Earth instead of returning to Krypton and live a ‘normal’ life. Jesus was born on Earth, unlike Clark, but is son to God and Mary, making him part divine or god. He has the powers to cure sicknesses around the world, and rose from the dead after being crucified, but also has human personality traits.
