In this website, it talks about what methods are used to play Mancala. The writer stresses that planning and strategic techniques are key to master the game. Some of the strategies used in this website, we have also used in our presentation. One strategy we used in our presentation was capturing. To capture your opponent 's pebbles shows that the person is beginning to stash pebbles and is planning ahead. Also, if you choose a pit with a lot of pebbles chances are you may be able to make it all the way around the board and capture pebbles. This strategy was useful to the topic because it showed how a player could advance in the game and defeat their opponent.

This book contains the copy of Stewart Culin 's 1984 article on the game of Mancala and its spread around the world. The book incorporated sum history and rules that we used in our presentation. The book had a lot of different images of Mancala boards that were used at the time in various places around the world. For instance, there were images of boards from Jerusalem, Syria, and several parts of Africa. Also, we learned that Mancala had different names depending upon the region it was played in. This book was useful in helping us learn about how Mancala evolved and became one of the oldest games ever played.
