I started working as a manicurist for over three years now, and I have handled many responsibilities of the job such as managing all the supplies for the store, disinfecting all manicure equipment, maintaining client relationship, etc.
I have completed my Associate of Arts degree, and I am still working on my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I have done course training of nail technician at LEPAT Beauty College and also licensed nail technician, which is an added advantage in my profile. I am self-confident that my academic background and knowledge of manicure treatment will surely suit your requirement.

I am applying for the position of medical receptionist at Cooper, Wolowitz, and Associates at your Ephrata location. I am most interested in applying for this position with your office for the weekly hours, salary package, sign-on bonus, and medical benefits package. The office hours are great being Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm and one Saturday a month 7am to 3pm. The salary package is pretty inviting with $13.50 an hour, Holiday pay for all major holidays worked, and 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment. The sign-on bonus of $1,500.00 after 6 months of employment is an added plus. The medical benefits package consisting of medical, Dental, vision, and workman’s compensation is also an added plus being extremely affordable. Secondly, I became very motivated and excited to work in the Medical Administrative field because of a family member whom I was very close to. My Great-Aunt was a very positive and influential person in my life who taught me to follow my dreams and always stop to help others. She always taught me that the medical field was a growing and awarding field to work within which ever branch you decided to work in. My Great-Aunt always said “To work with in the medical field in any aspect will always fill your heart and life with joy.” This has always stuck with me as I grew up and when it came to deciding which path to take in life I always thought back to what she said. I realized I would love to be in the medical field because I love working with growing families, our aging population, different kinds of other people, and mainly because I love the office aspect of the field. I feel I would be a vital asset to your team of office workers because I am very good with computers, well organized/detail oriented, an effective communicator, and work very well with others.…

“I want to be a ballerina princess”. You see, the difference between a regular princess and a ballerina princess is the elegance. Ballerinas held an elegance and ferocity during performances that were sensational. On the other hand, Disney princesses always had their happy endings and by combining both, my goal was set. Soon enough, ballet performances and Disney movies about princesses clouded my practicality with absurd idealism.…

I wish to become an occupational therapist – a low-vision occupational therapist – first and foremost based on my personal experience with overcoming adversity associated with being visually impaired myself. When I was nine months old, I was involved in a car accident that left me legally blind in both eyes. Throughout my life I have continually faced challenges – both simple and more complex – and have found a way through most. I want to be able to help those who are going through very similar circumstances as I have, and be a part of the process that sees them gain independence throughout their daily lives. It can be difficult for a health care professional in any field to truly know what their client is feeling, seeing, thinking, wanting,…

In my life, I have been a patient too many times to say I am well familiar with different roles in health care. When I was fourteen I was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and after six months of treatment I decided I wanted to help others like the many clinicians that helped me. After I graduated high school I got a job at an outpatient physical therapy clinic and there my true passion began. This inspired me to apply and eventually get accepted into the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Gateway Community College. I started my first year of college with my life prearranged. I had a ridiculous notion that everything was going to be a piece of cake. I was going to join different clubs, do lots of research, make the dean’s list, make my parents proud and attend as many parties as I could. However, now when I look back, I realized that I was too comfortable in my life. I thought I was ready to overcome every obstacle that was thrust upon me but I was sadly mistaken. College was a culture shock. I concluded that college is an entirely different universe, then high school. My GPA dropped for the first time in my life from a 3.7 in high school to a 2.8. The decline in my GPA made me realize that my journey to becoming a doctor is not always going to be easy. It made me hunger to go to medical school even more, to overcome the academic and emotional hurdles, and…

What if people lived healthier lives, practiced preventive medicine, and took precautions against illness and disease? My days in the physical therapy department often made me think about the prevention of injuries as well as the injuries themselves. I was already doubting my future career choice as a physical therapist. Although I loved the science of it and helping people, the lack of variety within the field and its limited options for growth bothered me. I needed a career that helped a large number of people, emphasized prevention and primary care rather than tertiary care, and would continually challenge and motivate me to improve. Knowing that I really did not want to pursue physical therapy as I had originally planned, my thoughts wandered to the area of public health, particularly health management.…

As a little girl i used to love going and getting my hair cut, dyed and everything in between. Around when i turned fourteen i started to take an interest in doing my own makeup just for fun and giggles, and i started going with my mom, aunts and grandma to watch them when they would get their hair done. Maybe there's no question as to why i have a passion for cosmetology. Throughout highschool i took classes that allowed me to really express who i was. Sophomore year i took a basic drawing and painting class at Meadowdale high school, where we focused mostly on drawing and shading of objects. It didn't take me long before i developed an opinion of my own artwork and seeing as i was fourteen almost fifteen i didn't think much other than that i hated everything about my work. It was sloppy and unorganized. At…
