LoL guide to Diamond I / Master / Challenger
Hi, my name is Dark Schneider, I started playing League at around late season 2. I was put into Silver 4 after placements. I've always had a desire to reach higher heights, so I proceeded to practice everyday, for about 20 minutes. During Season 3, I managed to make Gold 4, which I was pretty proud of. Around the middle of Season 4, I decided to make a smurf for the sole purpose of climbing divisions. By playing in low elo, I managed to still make mistakes, and this is what allowed me to see my issues and fix them. Learning from my mistakes, I somehow climbed all the way to Diamond 2, and I am proceeding to Diamond 1 with 89 LP. I figured that I would use this guide help out anyone who needs assistance, or anyone who is generally new to the game. This is my guide to achieving Diamond rank or higher.
First off, the most important thing about LoL is vision control, or warding. Having vision over objectives allows your team to secure them and obtain a greater advantage in the mid/late game. Also, warding helps you to spot enemy invades to prevent yourself from dying. This is a very useful habit you should get into. Warding can also help you catch an enemy off guard, granting you a free kill or assist.
Secondly, as a League player, you need to be able to understand or judge the range and total damage output of every champion. This sounds very difficult, but studying and more experience can give you an idea on how much a single champion can do. You need to understand your limits and make good choices that don't get you caught, or killed anytime during the game.
Third, you need to have good positioning. This doesn't just mean laning phase, but also teamfights, as this will have a huge impact on whether you will win your game or not. Whether you are a tank or a damage dealer, good positioning can sometimes lead you to winning your teamfight or laning phase. Positioning yourself to
