Thus far in my life, I have demonstrated these characterizes both in school academically and out of school on the lacrosse field. I am a member of Sacred Heart University’s Division One Women’s Lacrosse Team. People do not just get put on a division one team, they must fight to prove to the coaches that they are worthy of a spot on their team. It is a privilege, not a right. This starts with work ethic, one must go to practice each and every day with a can do attitude. There are days where the weather is awful or you are sick or have a lot on your mind but if you want to be the best, you will block out all these internal and external forces and focus on that task at hand. At the end of each practice you should ask yourself, “Did I do my best today? Did I give 110%?” the answers to these questions should always be yes, no question about it. You must come to practice ready to compete and give your all in every drill. Yes, there will be drills you hate but you just have to sacrifice and push through. Likewise, you may have an off day every now and then, it is okay, as you are only human. However, if you are having an off day and your stick skills, drives, or cuts are not on point you still should not slack off in the hustle category. If you drop the ball, you better be the one hustling after it to get it back. And most importantly, never be content. I am a freshman on the team and coming into the season I did not except to play much let alone at all during games however, in the fall I worked very hard, proving to the coaches they made the right choice of allowing me to be a member of their team. If I dropped a pass, you bet I was chasing after it to get it back. If I missed shot or threw a bad pass into the goalies stick, my next shot would be on target, a rip to the back of the net. I hustled every second of every practice because I wanted
