An American hero, Martin Luther King, Jr. was an African-American leader, a religious leader, as well as a civil rights leader. It’s no surprise we celebrate his life and legacy the third Monday during the month of January, as Dr. King epitomizes the merits of self-sacrifice and leadership, despite the odds he was up against. Through his actions, writing, speeches, and teachings, Dr. King’s words and teachings are inspirational, and have a lot to teach us.
