Victim? with a drunked dad and a mum who left his life doesn’t sound that good, hes a victim of he’s dads failure. And suffers as they never go out on holiday. so therefore he feels separate from the world always looking out of windows, observing. like the world could exist without him.
He’s always been bullied by dean, hes the victim. Dean makes him feel like durt he pushes him around and Martyn does nothing about it, he shows off and makes it clear that Alex is his.
but roles switch when Martyn gains confidence over Dean as he has outsmarted him by using stuff he left around his house to make him a suspect in William pigs death. Martyn comes across as confident the way he constantly gives Dean clear short answers “i don’t believe it” “prove it” “i can’t” you’ll just have to trust me”. where as before Martyn shuddered with nerves ”no...no, a prescription. I’m waiting for my dads prescription’ he now is like the villain framing dean for Williams death. He feels like he’s Alex's Hero for out smarting Dean.
but overal he’s really a victim and he doesn’t even realise it, I think hes exaggerated all of Alex's good qualities to hide her other side and manipulating ways. He wants something good in his life so bad and has been longing for it so he’s taken in easily.
I fell sorry for Martyn all he wanted was love but Alex conned him, ripped him off. If i was him i would feel so stupid for buying into it and angry that Alex doesn’t seem to care or notice that she hurt, he thought she had feelings for him.
