The marvel of the alphabet is being amazed by; writers, philosopher’s, historians, and others. It is being appreciated from different type of perspectives across the world. Douglas C. McMurtie, a graphic designer, informs that everyone uses letters from the alphabet on a daily basis taking them for granted. He states that modern societies are using their writing systems and forgetting the alphabet is a long evolutionary process. In his quote he uses pathos and states, “We do not realize that each of these letters each is at our service today..” Meaning that each word we use is being constructed from the alphabet. The alphabet is what created writing. The alphabet is an amazing evolutionary process. In Richard Bentley’s quote he states, “Tis a mathematical demonstration, that these twenty-four letters admit of so many changes in their order, and make…” Meaning that the alphabet was created in such an amazing way that there are 24 letters you can make thousand; millions of words. Thomas Carlyle, a historian states “All that mankind has done, thought gained, or been; it is lying as in magic…” meaning that due to mankind we have gained
intelligence, thanks to the alphabet. In other words, without the alphabet being civilized we humans wouldn’t know a thing. Another great quote would be from Max Caflisch he uses pathos and logos and states, “Civilization and letters are two homogeneous, two inseparable concepts: such as…” meaning, that us civilians wouldn’t know how to communicate, read, or wouldn’t even have a name. Therefore, the alphabet has brought a great contribution to the world. It brought music, books, medicine, and technology. It would be very difficult to survive in this world without the alphabet. “Knowledge brings power.

In today’s society things like technology and medicine have advanced in a tremendous way and it’s all thanks to the alphabet. Even numbers include the alphabet.
