2. Individualism vs. collectivism is measuring the degree of integration of individuals in groups. In individualistic societies, the ties between individuals are loose. It is expected of everyone that he / she makes for himself / herself and his/ her immediate family. 3. Masculinity vs. femininity as a measure to describe the ideas of masculinity and femininity of the individual. In masculine societies the gender roles are clearly delineated against each other. Women
should be more modest, sensitive and attach importance to quality of life, men have to be determined to be oriented and hard material. .In feminine societies the gender roles are mixed. Men and woman should be humble and sensitive, and put emphasis on quality of life.
4. Uncertainty avoidance is measuring in which the members of a certain culture feel vulnerable by uncertain situations and the need for predictability and by rules.
5. The Long-term orientation vs. short-term orientation dimension associates the relation of the past with the actual beeing and the future challenges. A shorter degree indicates that traditions are honored and kept. Societies with a long term degree think adaptation and problem-solving as a necessity in daylily life and in the future.
