The state of Massachusetts is located in the eastern part of the United States. It is next to Atlantic Ocean and shares border with New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. Massachusetts was a state in February 6,1788 and it currently has 6,547,629 people, with the capital being Boston.Technology, Manufacturing, Fishing , Medicine, Life Science and Tourism are major parts of Massachusetts’s economy. The weather in the coastal region is mild. Winters usually are not freezing and average in the 32°F,give or take five degrees. Many places in Massachusetts have rainy season or a dry season. The average rainfall in the state is 43.56 inches. Massachusetts climate makes it a desirable place to visit in all seasons.
Natural Resources and Industry
Massachusetts is major source of many natural resources. According to Netstat, Fertile Connecticut River Valley soils, most rich in peat, deposits of sand and gravel, glacial stones and boulders (granite, marble) are the most important natural resources of Massachusetts. Its location by the Atlantic Ocean also makes it the 3nd largest producer of seafood in the United States of America. The state also is a large producer of electronics.
A major industry in Massachusetts is Entertainment and brings millions of people to Massachusetts each year. The state also has several historical monuments, and museums. Besides all these great places to visit, there is also beautiful beaches and the and several theme parks including Six Flags. Massachusetts also boasts the presence of Boston , which is the hub for the
