My entire life has been centered around starting my career and getting to do what I love. I want to help people. That is why I’ve worked so hard throughout school, I want to be successful in my life goals. This can be seen in the academic history I have. For example, I have a 4.1 GPA, a 28 on my ACT and I have over 100 hours of volunteer work. I’ve devoted a large amount of time to my community and I’ve always wanted to be a positive person who helps others in any way I can. I have also committed to my career, I attend Summit Technology Academy for Pre- Professional nursing and I will graduate with my CNA. I hope to go straight into my area of choice and work at a hospital, right out of high school. Overall, I have…
Hello, I am currently a junior in college. This has been my third at Houston community college. I initially started off by wanting to be a Dental Hygienist but later I started to realize it was not something I was passionate about. I soon came to the conclusion that I want to be an elementary school teacher. In the beginning I was thinking about money rather than a degree I would be dedicated to. I graduated high school back in 2011 and to be honest college was never in my panorama. After graduating I got my first job at Family dollar and that was my wake up call. I realized that I would not be able to live an abundant life getting paid minimum wage. I knew that if I wanted to make a difference in my life, I would have to go back to school.…
Understanding that college is a time of both personal and educational growth, I positively anticipate many things. As an undergrad, I will join organizations and activities while participating actively in them. For academic and language enrichment, I aspire to travel to a Latin American country to study abroad. Also, I aim to be successful in my studies while balancing them with a part-time job. As a result of my hardwork and progression, I desire to obtain an internship as I network with area professionals. Besides focusing on my education, I look forward to finding my purpose. That being said, I am a firm believer that everyone is on this Earth to serve a purpose. As I nurture my skillset and zero in on my interests I look forward to discovering what position within business I am here to serve in. Ultimately, I am excited utilize the next four years of my life to have experiences that I will look back on in 30 years and be proud of having…
The most important goal for my future is to obtain a satisfying career. Growing up I saw how unhappy my mother was working at a job that she hated just to make enough to provide for our family. I further understood how important a satisfying career was to me when I started working the graveyard shift as a dockworker during community college. I strongly disliked almost everything about the job including the exposure to extreme temperatures, the job’s filthy nature, the long and irregular hours, and most of all because it was unfulfilling. I was miserable with my occupation but I was dependent on it because it was lucrative and provided me with a way to support myself through college. I worked fulltime at this job for two years while also being a fulltime student until I transferred to SIU. The dread that I felt toward my job made me work harder academically because I knew that someday my hard work would amount to a career that I thoroughly…
My mid- term goal for education is to go to college. I want to go to George Mason University ever since I was a kid, I never had a good reason to, I just like it. Just in case I don’t get accepted there, I want to go to Mary Mount University because my aunt goes there. I know I will be majoring in business because I will need it to be good at my future job when I grown up. I know college isn’t like high school because you have a lot more responsibilities. I want to live in a dorm as well or move in an apartment with my friends because it seems pretty fun. My mid-term goal for employment is to be in a good paying job that will pay my bills and car insurance and that will give me some experience for my future job. Maybe shadow someone that is in the field I want to be in or be an intern for them.…
Having grown up in a single parent home with two sisters who did not complete high school, made the pressure for me to succeed unimaginable. The constant reminder of achieving greatness has stuck with me since I was eight years old. Throughout middle school I was top of my class, in high school I graduated cum laude with a 4.4 GPA and currently in my 1st year of college I am top of my intermediate/college algebra class, I scored the highest grade out of all 5 of my psychology teachers classes, and I have an A in my Philosophy class. My educational goals consist of gaining knowledge throughout my entire life, achieving higher than my goals, being as involved as I can possibly be with my college/ community, and continuing to prosper. Ever since…
In my first two years of high school not once did I think of my future. Although I knew that getting into college was important! It was during my last two years that I finally came to realize this decision would help determine the rest of my life. I found myself feeling a sense of panic as I struggled to identify the skills that would help me determine and achieve my lifetime goals. I decided to look closer at the classes I was taking and my extra curricular activities hoping they would help me understand the direction I should take. Currently I am a library and student assistant, I am taking Dual Credit government and economics, and have part time job. I am involved with these classes and extracurriculars because they improve my understanding…
After high school I plan to attend city college and obtain my associates degree. I believe this is a safe route because it will save me a lot of money instead of going straight to a four year university. After I receive my associate’s degree, I will transfer into a university. I plan on attending a university that is in Illinois because the tuition is much cheaper. This again will help me save money. The university that I'm looking towards will have a nursing program which will benefit me because I need to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing. After I transfer into a university, I'll be in school for four years and obtain my master’s degree. I plan on paying the off school by working. Also, the scholarships I have applied to will help me as well. The money that I receive from FAFSA will also contribute in helping me pay off my tuition. By staying here I will be able to stay with my parents therefore my expenses won't be so much. After I graduate, I'll get certified and get my license and hopefully start working. I want to succeed in my goal because I know how important mental health is. Everyone needs to have a healthy mindset in order to function…
I plan to be successful as a college student by being active both academically and with extracurricular involvement. I plan to push myself to graduate as at least a Cum Laude in college as I am graduating high school as a Cum Laude. I am a dedicated student in such a way that I push myself beyond what I feel I can do, and once I feel I need to fall, I still…
My goal in college is to double major in accounting and finance. School has always been a very high priority for me because I believe it helps form the work ethic that people carry on for the rest of their lives. After college, I hope to be in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I want to be able to help the world become a safer place. Today, there are so many riots, shootings, and terrorist attacks that I want to stand against and resolve the issue that are causing the violence. Getting a good education and having a widespread knowledge of world issues can help me to help others. A big change has to start…
My dreams and aspirations to go to college and further enhance my knowledge have always been with me since I was child. Both my parents taught me that I have to use my mind if I want to lead a happy and prosperous life without any problems, and that has always been my motivation to persevere, no matter how difficult the road may be. After high school I will attend a university and continue my education further in the field of computer engineering. With that, I will apply in various careers involving my major, such as in the business, automobile, video game and software industries. My goal is to have both a successful and fulfilling career that I can be happy with while still supporting a small family of my own and living the American dream. My intentions are to help the general populace by providing more efficient computer systems and software because I know we live in an age where computers are very important and dominating all industries with handling information. I know that we all live in a time where technology has become essential to human life, so if I can make a positive impact with my major, then that’s what I am going to do. Having a strong, fun career and having a wonderful family has always been a priority to me and I have been taking every step and precaution along the way to ensure that I meet these goals timely and productively. With help from the Apple Scholarship Foundation, I can meet my goals with more relative ease and I can worry less about any monetary hardships that I might encounter.…
I have many educational goals following my highschool graduation. Throughout highschool, I held myself to very high standards, and I always strived for good grades. My goal was to achieve high honors every year, and I accomplished this. In college, My goal is to continue to not only pass my classes, but excel in all of them. This is very important to me and my family, and I will take all the steps necessary to meet my goal. Another future goal of mine is to graduate college and earn a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. This is important to me because this degree will prove that I have the required knowledge to be an engineer.…
I will use what I have gained in college to start of my career in Hospitality Travel and Tourism. I always wanted to get into school for Traveling, but I never put forth the effort to do it. Now that I am older and married I have a different outlook on life. As I said before the main Objective is to add more on my resume to get myself in a better position to help my family financially. I think that once this done I will have the leverage in my field of work. I have planned to turn in all of my assignments on time for the remainder of my time in school, I have to resources to get my work done so it should not be an excuses. I know that in order for me to make good grades, have a successful career, and make the money that I want to make then it starts with the work I put in…
Because of this, for college, I would like to leave small town North Carolina. I see myself at in college somewhere in the North East, hopefully somewhere with a strong intellectual tradition and an emphasis on diversity. I aspire to one day take a class where, when I state my opinion about the Arab Spring, instead of being asked what the Arab Spring is, someone from Egypt forces me to defend it. I would like to major in something in the humanities or social sciences, possibly economics with a focus on the economics of developing nations, but I am also interested in public health. At the same time I plan to be premed, mostly because I would love to work with Doctors Without Borders after medschool. During my summers I hope to travel and volunteer internationally, hopefully in Africa. I want my education to educate me as a whole person, and hopefully it will never end.…
Where do I see my self in five years I have many dreams and goals in my life. I had aspirations of being a doctor something I had wanted to be since I was a child. But I realize that there are so many other steps I need to take in order to achieve these so-called goals. This includes graduating from college, finding that special someone and finding that perfect job. My expectations in five years is that I see myself well educated and living my life to the fullest with my son. Now seems to be the time to start taking life seriously and making responsible and educated choices. Now I come to a crossroad in my life where I choose what to do with my future and choose what will make me happy. My plans for the future is having a great job with a loving family who’s willing to support me in my good and bad times. I have begun to realize that I have yet to begin my life everything up until now has been practice, as if I have been in a cage and it is only now that I am beginning to break free and do things for myself. I must work really hard to give my kids a better future so it will be easier for them to concentrate more in school, because without education there’s really no future for anyone. I want to be satisfied with my decisions to be able to accept and forgive, and most of all to be able to live up to the expectations I have for myself and my son. I will only accomplish my goal in being happy when I am able to live my life for myself and still able to provide love and support to…
