Often media purposely leave certain information that they feel audiences shouldn’t see or be aware of because media houses feel as if the public shouldn’t know or they are trying to please someone. During the trial the different networks purposely edited out racial comments that Zimmerman made towards Trayvon. This goes hand and hand with corporate bias because the media is always trying to please someone it’s always about money. Reasons such as funding for the network from a major corporation, exposure to society or popularity. The media often report rare instances and make them sound like a big deal to the general public. Where the everyday events if and when they do report the smaller events they are often reported at a later date and are made to sound less significant to the public. The stories are often chopped down and downplaye. The media pushes its viewpoints instead of reporting it in an objective way. Bias can involve race, religion, class, sex and many others. Media outlets tend to put a spin on the current events because we are really only hearing what the media reports to us and its tremendously important that we challenge what we believe, have an open mind and get news from multiple sources to find the truth for yourself. With that in mind we cannot blame the unarmed teen who lost his life. Nor can we continue to blame Zimmerman, who has already been exonerated by the judicial
