Media hypocrisy
There is no doubt that the media is the primary source of information that in fact nowadays overloads the average person with various data on a daily basis .The media has been always a tool of spreading the news, no matter good or bad, in the shortest possible time to the general public. Even nowadays with the revolutionary development and expansion of the technology the media has become extremely influential through its availability to the people and its various types of tools for sharing information. Thus, somehow we can’t even avoid certain types of media because they have become a part of our dial survival. They have created numerous ways of how to reach the audience. We can now hear or read or see the same information at home, on the road, in our car, in a café or else where.
In regards of this there is the general opinion that the media in a direct or indirect way controls people’s lives and has enormous influence of how people perceive themselves, the others and the environment they live in. However, it has been always questionable the reliability of the information that the media shares. Quite often the public has discussed this topic whether we can rely on the media and the information they share to us.
Therefore in real people start to believe that they can’t rely on the information that the media shares with them, because quite often that data is biased, unreliable and too much disguised.
There are many factors and significant researches that support this thesis.
In fact according to Djankov, Nenova, Mcliesh and Shleifer in whose research they have gathered various data about the media from 97 countries and has come to very striking results that indicate that the majority of the media is being controlled and therefore their information is been considered as not so reliable.
