Medical Assistant Reflection Paper
Currently, I lead a team of medical assistants running day-to-day operation in a medical clinic. As a team leader, I act as a resource for my staff to consult with regarding any patient interactions or physician interactions. My staff feels comfortable asking for clarification in any situation and trusts that I will guide them thoroughly. For example, a patient once came to see the doctor about prescribing medical marijuana, however the only doctor on-site was restricted from providing controlled substances which medical marijuana falls under. Additionally, the patient did not have a family doctor to follow up with.
