WHEN I GROW UP

Introduction When I grow up I would like to be a nice and caring Pediatrician (Physician). A pediatrician is a child's physician. I chose this wonderful job because I love children and I want to help them. The one thing I like most about kids is their creativity. They generally have a really open mind and are able to come up with some very interesting solutions to things that older people, would never come up with. I loved being a small kid, I had a lot of attention from my family, did not have to stress out about anything, and most importantly I did not have to go to school. To be honest, I am still a little scared about going to the doctor. When I went once to get the flu shot I was really scared, but before I knew it, it was over. The doctor made me feel so good about myself, she made me feel strong. Then, I looked up at my dad and said this “daddy, I want to be a nice and caring pediatrician like her”.

Duties/Obligation(s) A pediatrician has a lot of duties /obligations even if they are general pediatrician. He/she supervises their support staff to see that the office runs professionally and efficiently. They also need to make sure they provide care for infants, children, teenagers, and young adults. They diagnose and treat infections, injuries, genetic defects, malignancies, organic diseases, and dysfunctions. Large part of a pediatrician's job involves treating illnesses. These can be everything from everyday illnesses such as colds and strep throat, to milestone childhood diseases such as measles, mumps and chicken pox. A pediatrician examines the patient first, next orders tests if needed, and then analyzes test results, last diagnoses the illness and decides on a treatment plan.
Education/Special Skills Required To become a Pediatrician you first need to pass the General Education Development. Classes like biology, physics, and

The qualifications and training of becoming a Pediatric Oncologist you have to do pre-medical baccalaureate, a specialized Bachelor of Science degree that meets the basics for medical college admissions. After graduating, future pediatricians go on to complete a four-year doctoral program at a medical or osteopathic college. Clinical rotations are intended to expose students to the diversity of medical practices and assist them in choosing a specialty. Those who opt for pediatrics must complete three years' clinical training in a pediatric residency, practicing children's medicine under the supervision and mentoring of experienced physicians. Those who intend to specialize in pediatric cancers can often find opportunities to work with oncologists during the residency, gaining experience and forming useful professional relationships. After completing their residency, the new pediatricians must yet fulfill a three-year fellowship in pediatric oncology in order to become board-certified in that specialty.…

Ever since we could talk our parents have always asked us one question what do you want to be when you grow up. Honestly, let me tell you all the bizarre things I wanted to be, first I passed through the princess phase, which mostly every girl wants to be in one point of her life, then came the cowgirl phase which I wanted to be because that's what Barbie wanted to be once upon a time, than came my most bizarre choice of all, a pirate to this day on I don't even know why I wanted to be a pirate, and then came a movie star which I wanted to be, because of the fame and riches. Finally, after all these very immature phases I sent on one profession I knew I would be happy doing for the rest of my life, a neurosurgeon. Most people think that neurosurgeon's are brain doctors who just fix the brain when someone is possibly injured, but let me tell you neurosurgeons are much more than that. Neurosurgeons are extraordinary physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of disorders of the central nervous system including traumas, tumors, vascular disorders, infections of the brain or spine, stroke, or degenerative diseases of the spine. Being a neurosurgeon is a extremely tough job, but I enjoy doing it. Every time I'm performing a surgery it sends a rush of excitement through my body, it's exhilarating performing a surgery knowing that the person's life is in your hands, and the aftermath of the surgery is always…

My dream job is a doctor because I want to help sick people to become healthier. I can also help my parents when they are sick. To become a doctor, I have to read a lot of books because doctors are required to know well about the human body. Also, I have to study English very hard because most of the medical terms are in English. In order to become a doctor, I have to make a constant effort. There are few things for me to work on. First, I have to love and serve for those who are sick. Doctors need to give extra care for their patients because they need to know well about each patient. Second, all doctors have to be diligent. If the doctors are lazy, and do not care to know about the patients, they cannot help them to become healthier. There are many other things for me to work on, but I think these two are the most important things for me to become a good doctor.…
