Moments later, a panicking Olivia is in the corner curled up against the wall as Fitz walks up and attempts to console her. Olivia pulls herself together just in time to find a frantic Mellie ranting on about laws in counties and demanding recounts nationwide. Olivia tries to convince her it is time to concede to Vargas before she is labeled a “bitch.” At first, she does not understand, but as Olivia raises her voice it starts to sink in for Mellie that she has lost the race. Once again, Mellie’s face goes pasty white. Olivia pulls out her phone and dials Vargas for the paralyzed Mellie; she then hands the phone to Mellie but she is speechless.
