According to the 2011 Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate of all college graduates was 12.6 percent. I find these rates overwhelming because this is the time when students are supposed to be starting out in the real world, build a foundation for their career, and rush to pay their student loans/debt. I would like to research and discover what factors and circumstances are most responsible for this high percentage.
As a result of today’s economy, I can see assume that it is one of the major factors in increasing unemployment rates for college graduates. I also know that students being rejected from jobs are because they did not look for experience or internship opportunities. Another contributing factor would be tying oneself to a particular or sparse major.
During my essay I would focus on the main points of:
Firstly I would focus on the main effects that the economy has to do with this
Secondly I was explaining how they don’t have enough experience or a higher enough degree.
Thirdly I would describe the tying oneself to a particular or sparse major.
