Memorandum

A restaurant is a type of business that I would like to own after my graduation. My entire childhood was based on family restaurant, because my parents owned one. I liked the busy life style, and a place full of different people. I also liked challenges associated with it, and new ways of making the place better and more competitive.
When I came to USA, I understood that this is what I want to do here, and I know that with some of my unique ideas I am able to create a successful restaurant in Eastern
European style. I am aware that the whole process associated with opening a place like that, is not easy and it is time consuming, because there is a lot of rules and different kind of permits that I would have to obtain

really thought through to make sure that the target group will be fully satisfied. The ambience and the atmosphere is also a very important factor relating to the food concept. Having an idea about it, helps to guide during the decision-making process, so it always should be keep on mind.

Next is a comprehensive and accurate businesses plan, which is the most critical component of opening a new restaurant. A good business plan should include a clear description of the concept, sample menu with prices, information about how to hire, and train future employees. There also should be information about the target- future customers, and a lot of financial evidence, like report about how much money is available, from where it’s coming from, and also estimate of a long run income and expenditure. A plane how to cope with pressures and problems associated with this kind of business, and even some exit strategy in case if something would go wrong should also be included. It is very helpful to hire an attorney to make sure that everything is done right, because it can be tricky for a person without any experience in this particular case.

Restaurants typically need a food service establishment permit, an alcohol beverage license, a general business license, and a food safety permit. “In New Jersey, every municipality is required to be served by a local health department that meets the requirements of State public health laws and regulations” (stste.nj.us).
